Ōno Kumao
Ōno Kumao ( Japanese 大野 熊 雄 ; * 1890 in Kumamoto Prefecture , Japan ), 10th Dan , Hanshi , was a Japanese Kendōka and founder of the style Stilno-ha Hōki-ryū ( 大野 派 伯 耆 流 ), which is based on the Hōki- ryū Hoshino-ha ( 伯 耆 流星 野 派 ) based. He was the first chairman of the Dai Nippon Butokukai (DNBK), which was revived as a private Budo organization in 1953 .
