The Osakajo Hall ( jap. 大阪城ホール , Osakajo Horu , "Burg-Osaka Hall") is a multi-purpose hall in the district of Chuo-ku of the city Osaka in Osaka Prefecture , Japan .
The hall was built on an area of 36,351 square meters and is visually similar to the stones of Osaka Castle , for which the building received the Osaka Urban Scenery Architects Prize Special Award in 1984 (English for the special prize (tokubetsu-shō) of the Osaka toshi keikan kenchiku -shō , 大阪 都市 景 観 建築 賞 , also Ōsaka machinami-shō ) awarded by Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City and the Architects' Association of Osaka Prefecture (Ōsaka-fu kenchikushikai) . The hall was originally called Ōsaka-jō Kokusai Bunka Sports Hall ( 大阪 城 国際 文化 ス ポ ー ツ ホ ー ル , about "International Culture and Sports Hall Osaka Castle").
The arena is mainly used for concerts and judo events. The hall holds a total of 16,000 spectators for sporting events and 15,000 visitors for concerts.
The operating company has been organized as a stock corporation since 2010, with the city of Osaka as the main shareholder.
