Šiauliai Higher Medical School
The Šiauliai Higher Medical School (lit. Šiaulių aukštesnioji medicinos mokykla ) was a high school of medicine in Šiauliai , Lithuania .
history
On July 1, 1946 the school for the education of the nurse (lit. Medicinos seserų mokykla ) was founded. In 1991 the school became the Šiauliai Higher Medical School. On September 1, 2002 it became the Faculty of Health Care of College Šiauliai . On January 9, 2003, the Šiauliai Higher Medical School was closed.
The Faculty of Health Care at the State College of Šiauliai has existed since 2010 . The Faculty has a chair for biomedical sciences, a chair for rehabilitation and a chair for social work . There is a scientific student society (SMD) at the faculty. The courses of study are general practice nursing , oral hygiene , kinesitherapy , cosmetology , public health .
The faculty council with representatives of the university lecturers and students is part of the self-governing body. The faculty is headed by the Dean's Office (Dean Ginta Gerikaitė and Vice Dean Laima Leščinskienė).
