Silhina-Hamru-Lagamar

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Šilhina-Hamru-Lagamar was probably an Elamite king who lived after 1110 BC. Ruled.

Under Hutelutuš-Inšušinak, the Babylonians and their king Nabu-kudurri-usur I invaded Elam. With this event a dark period of Elamite history begins, from which almost nothing is known. Šilhina-Hamru-Lagamar, who must have reigned after this campaign, is practically known from only two sources. From numerous inscriptions by Šilhak-Inšušinak I it is known that he was his younger brother. From Šutruk-Nahhunte III. (717–699 BC) there is an inscription that names three predecessors, including Šilhina-Hamru-Lagamar and who thus reigned as king. He is not known from his own inscriptions.
