Żagary

Żagary (Polish for conflagration ) was a Polish literary magazine that appeared in Vilnius from 1931 to 1934 and was edited by Stanisław Mackiewicz . A literary group of the same name was created around the magazine. A. Teodor Bujnicki , Henryk Dembiński , Antoni Gołubiew , Mieczysław Jastrun , Czesław Miłosz , Aleksander Rymkiewicz and Jerzy Zagórski . In their texts they reflected the critical situation in Polish society in the early 1930s.
