ʿAbd al-Ḥaqq Amānat Khān

ʿAbd al-Ḥaqq Amānat Khān , also known as Amanat Khan Shirazi (* 1570 , † 1645 ) was a well-known Persian calligrapher and gained fame through his calligraphic work on the Tāj Maḥal , for which Shah Jahan gave him the title of Amanat Khan because of his "dazzling." Virtuosity ”was awarded. As a reminder of his work, the inscription “Written by the insignificant being Amanat Khan Shirazi” can be found on the base of the inner dome near the verses of the Koran.

His father Qāsim Shīrāzī and his brother Shukr Allāh were also calligraphers.
