1st Police Jäger Brigade (Ordnungspolizei)

The 1st Police Jäger Brigade was a German infantry brigade during World War II . It was the only infantry brigade formed from units of the Ordnungspolizei during World War II .

History of the brigade

The brigade was formed in the spring of 1945 from SS Police Regiments 8 and 50 of the Ordnungspolizei northwest of Stettin. The brigade was subordinate to Army Group Vistula . The unit was deployed to the front near Wilhelmshöhe, southwest of Stettin on the Oder , before completing its training and with insufficient armament. When it was first deployed on April 20, 1945, the brigade was broken up by the Red Army .
