The 11 e régiment parachutiste de choc (German 11th parachute shock regiment ), often also 11 e Choc or 11 e RPC for short , was a paratrooper association of the French army . The unit was set up as a battalion in 1948 and took part in the Indochina War , the Suez Crisis and the Algerian War.

The battalion's role was to conduct covert operations under the aegis of the SDECE foreign intelligence agency . The unit took part in the Indochina War. In 1955, a sister unit was created with the 12 e parachutiste de choc battalion and the foundation stone was laid for the later 11 e parachutiste de choc demi brigade . In 1956, parts of the unit took part in the fighting during the Suez Crisis.

During the Algerian War , the unit took a leading role in the Dirty War against the Front de Liberation Nationale (FLN). The unit was disbanded in 1963, but re-established in 1985 in regimental strength. In 1988 she was involved in the forcible release of hostages from the hands of the Kanak Liberation Front in New Caledonia . 1993, 11 was e RPC dissolved.
