description

The 17th century villa is located at the beginning of a short spur road called St Edmund's Grove , which branches off the Mosspark Road in northern Milngavie . The building was described, among other things, in the architecture guide "Academy Architecture" published in 1904.

The elongated building is built on two floors and has a loft, which is illuminated by a dormer window with triple windows. The final gable roof is covered with gray slate shingles. The bottom slopes down to the south. The facing east front of Villa shows partially exposed ashlar, which is also the window window surrounds , and the edges of buildings is used. The remaining facade surfaces are traditionally plastered with Harl , as is customary in south-west Scotland . The stairwell is housed in a protruding component that dominates the front with its vertical lattice windows and a flat roof . To the left of this is the entrance area in a corner of the building, which can be reached via several steps due to the sloping ground. Various twin and triple windows are installed on the building. It is worth mentioning the art nouveau colored panes on the west side.
