244th Infantry Division (Wehrmacht)
The 244th Infantry Division (Wehrmacht) was a German infantry division during World War II . The division was set up on September 8, 1943 in the Antwerp area and later deployed in Marseille , France . Here the division was broken up after the Allied landing in southern France in August 1944.
