24 stundir ( 24 hours ; until October 2007 Blaðið - Das Blatt ) was an Icelandic daily newspaper that was sent free of charge to households in the greater Reykjavík area and was also freely available in petrol stations and shops across the country. The first issue appeared on May 6, 2005, and since then the newspaper has appeared regularly on weekdays, 5 days a week.

The publisher of the newspaper was the company Ár og dagur, which since December 2005 has been 50% owned by Árvakur , who is also the publisher of the newspaper Morgunblaðið .

As a result of the financial crisis , 24 hours ceased its publication on October 10, 2008, and 20 jobs were lost.
