35th Symphony (Michael Haydn)
The symphony No. 35 in G major Perger 27, MH 474, was composed by Michael Haydn in 1788.
To the music
Instrumentation: two oboes , two horns in G, D, 2 violins , viola , cello , double bass . To reinforce the bass voice, the bassoon and harpsichord (if available in the orchestra) were also used without a separate notation , although there are different opinions about the involvement of the harpsichord in the literature.
Performance time: approx. 9-10 minutes.
1st movement: Allegro con spirito
G major, 3/4 time, 144 bars
The movement is written in sonata form, without repetition of the exposition.
2nd movement: Andante
D major, D minor, D major 2/4 time, 46 bars
Simply two-part form.
3rd movement: Finale-Rondo. Presto
G major, 3/8 time, 148 bars
