36.6 is the largest Russian chain of drug stores . The company comes from the normal temperature that a healthy person has.

In Russia itself the stores of the chain as are pharmacies ( Russian аптека , full corporate name (company) is Аптечная сеть 36.6 ) because, unlike known German drugstore chains, including pharmacy- leading drugs. From a conceptual point of view, every 36.6 store is a mixture of an ordinary pharmacy and self-service drugstore, similar to Rossmann , Schlecker or dm-drogerie markt .

The company was founded in 1991 by Artyom Bektemirow and Sergei Kriwoschejew and was initially exclusively active in the pharmaceutical wholesale trade. It wasn't until 1998 that a retail chain came into being under the name 36.6 , when the first drugstore opened in Moscow . In the next six years, the number of stores in Moscow and the surrounding area grew to over 60. Since 2004, the chain has also expanded in numerous other regions of Russia, including in Saint Petersburg and in several major cities in the Volga Federal District . Smaller local pharmacy chains were mostly bought up. In July 2007, the chain's 1000th store opened. By 2009 it was originally planned to expand the chain to over 1,300 stores. As a result of the global financial crisis from 2007 onwards , this goal could not be achieved. There were even closings of branches. On January 1, 2011, the company's branch network only had 974 branches. The company's 2006 revenue reached approximately $ 525 million.

In terms of corporate form, 36.6 is a stock corporation .
