400 East Randolph , also known as 400 East Randolph Street Condominiums or Outer Drive East , is a 40-story skyscraper designed by Reinheimer & Associates on East Randolph Street in Chicago's New Eastside between The Buckingham to the west and Harbor Point in East.

history

The building consists mainly of condominiums, but it also houses shops and restaurants. The building is in close proximity to Millennium Park and Lakeshore East Park . It is one of the older buildings in the Lakeshore East area. The building, built in 1963, is one of the oldest and most established buildings in the neighborhood. In 1973 the apartments were converted into condominiums . The building contains many facilities such as a dome-shaped pool and a private bus for use by residents. A restaurant is located on the seventh floor. The building is home to a number of businesses including the Lakefront Children's Academy and a Segway rental station.
