The term construction design describes the phase of construction of a structure with the help of construction technology . The individual steps of construction are defined in the construction process and are organized with the help of construction management .
Time limit
The construction follows the construction process on the building design . It begins on the day of the first construction activity on the construction site . The "first groundbreaking " or the laying of the foundation stone is a symbolic beginning, which usually takes place after the actual start of construction.
The construction phase ends with the building acceptance of the building by the client or his construction management . Following this, the start of use of the building and the so called " warranty period ".

The preparation of the property is followed by the excavation and the foundation of the structure. This is followed by the construction of the structure, usually in different construction phases. The building shell , which symbolically ends with the topping-out ceremony , is followed by expansion through to completion and building acceptance.
