Major construction site
As a construction site a widespread or distributed in several places construction site called whose line is hierarchically divided into sections.
The main responsibility is a senior site manager (usually a civil engineer or architect ), who is supported by several section site managers. A site foreman (construction technician or foreman) is responsible for the detailed coordination of personnel and material at the respective site .
Typical examples of large construction sites are
- Construction of high-rise buildings or residential complexes with several blocks,
- Construction of factories or supermarkets ,
- larger roads - construction lots or torrent barriers ,
- Bridges or tunnels ,
- Construction or conversion of train stations or airports .
Compared to smaller construction sites, the importance of barriers (construction fences etc.), access control and security ( sidewalks , stored construction materials or excavation , work area of construction machines and cranes etc.) is increasing .
The construction site logistics and the avoidance of unnecessary construction site noise or other impairments of the neighbors require special expenses and are subject to official controls and periodic inspection .
