In construction , an inspection is an appraisal of the construction site, usually by the client or his representative and the building contractor. The inspection serves to determine the progress of construction and to clarify any questions that may arise on site; therefore one speaks of site inspection to make it clearer. An inspection can also take place for existing structures in order to look for damage or other problems and to discuss measures.
