45th Guard Special Reconnaissance Brigade

The 45. Guard special education Brigade ( Russian 45 я отдельная гвардейская орденов Кутузова и Александра Невского бригада специального назначения ) is a major unit of the Russian airborne troops .

The association was formed in 1994 from the independent 901st and the independent 218th Spetsnaz Battalion as a regiment . After the Crimean crisis , the regiment was upgraded to a brigade at the turn of the year 2014/15 .
