Audio double triode 6N2P from Voskhod

The 6N2P ( Cyrillic 6H2П) is a miniature double triode with a 9-pole Noval socket especially for low-frequency applications.

The tube is specially designed for audio applications and resembles an ECC83 in terms of its electrical properties and socket circuitry , but because of two special features it cannot be interchanged with the tube socket without interfering with the wiring of the tube socket: Because the heating filaments of the two triode systems are internally connected in parallel or there is no center tap is available, in contrast to the ECC83, the option of tube heating with 12.6 volts is not available; there is also a shielding plate between the systems, which enables higher crosstalk attenuation between the two triodes.

The tube was widespread in the Soviet Union and is still manufactured today in Russia ( Kaluga , Voskhod). It has a long service life and excellent qualities as an audio preamplifier.
