Aḫat-abiša
Aḫat-abiša (Eng. Sister of her father ) was the daughter of Šarru-kins II and later the wife of Ambaris , the king of Tabal . The marriage between the Assyrian princess and the ruler of Tabal was concluded in connection with the establishment of his vassal relationship to the New Assyrian Empire. As a result of a rebellion against Sarru-kīn II in 713, he was deposed and imprisoned, while Tabal became an Assyrian province. It is possible that Aḫat-abiša was then headed by a female governor of this province.
