ANIMAL was an Argentine groove metal band from Buenos Aires , founded in 1993 by Andrés Giménez and disbanded in 2006.

history

The band members were Andrés Giménez (electric guitar / vocals / bandleader), Marcel Corvolán (bass / choir) and Aló Aníbal (drums). Just one year later, ANIMAL separated from their drummer and Martin Carizo became their successor. Marcelo Corvolán now played the bass and was the voice of the band. In 1998 Martin Carizo left as drummer and Andrés Vilanova became the new drummer. Six years later, Christian "Titi" Lapolla (choir and bass) and Marcelo Castro (drums) joined the band. Marcelo Corvolán left the band after eleven years and Andrés Vilanova followed him after only six years of membership.

After constant changes to the instruments, the singers decided to dissolve ANIMAL at the end of 2006. Andrés Giménez and Christian Lapolla founded the metal band D-Mente in the same year, which released their first album of the same name that same year.

successes

ANIMAL is one of the most famous hardcore bands in South America, Latin America and in some European countries. In 13 years of band history, they released seven albums, which were very successful in Argentina. Their seventh most successful Almbum "Combativo" from 2004 should be the last album of the band.
