AM Qattan Foundation

The AM Qattan Foundation ( Arabic مؤسسة عبد المحسن القطان, DMG Muʾassasat ʿAbd al-Muḥsin al-Qaṭṭān ) is a Palestinian foundation based in Ramallah . It was founded in 1993 by the entrepreneur Abdel Mohsin al-Qattan (died 2017 in London ) and is run by his son, the director Omar al-Qattan .

The foundation pursues the goal of promoting culture and education in Palestine and the Arab countries. The main activities relate to the West Bank and Gaza Strip . The Qattan Center for Educational Research and Development supports the education and training of teachers. In Gaza City there is the Qattan Center for the Child with a library, theater, etc. The third is the culture and arts program , which supports various programs, including the Gaza Music School . In London, the cultural program maintains the Mosaic Rooms , which accommodate exhibitions and events that focus on Arab culture.

In June 2018, the foundation opened an administrative and arts center in Ramallah valued at $ 21 million.
