AJWA Group for Food Industries ( Arabic مجموعة اجواء للصناعات الغذائية, DMG Maǧmūʿat Aǧwāʾ li-ṣ-ṣināʿāt al-ġaḏāʾīya ) is a manufacturer and distributor of rice , corn , soy , fruit and vegetable products and edible oil based in Egypt and Saudi Arabia . The company is partially owned by Mohamed Bin Issa Al Jaber and, according to the company, employs around 950 people. As Reuters announced on January 1, 2011, Al JaberIn his role as chairman of the board of directors, he was sentenced in absentia to two years imprisonment and a fine of the equivalent of € 264,000 by a court in Egypt for financial crimes. The company is a member of the EGX 30 index on the Egyptian Exchange .
