AN / USQ-20
The AN / USQ-20 , or Naval Tactical Data System (NTDS), was a computer system. It replaced the AN / USQ-17 system with the same command set . The German Navy used the system for the first time on a destroyer as part of SATIR . The first 17 computers were shipped to the United States Navy in 1961 . A modified version of the AN / USQ-20 used by the American military and NASA was sold under the name UNIVAC 1206 . A variant of the AN / USQ-20 called G-40 was used for the Bomarc missile program.
The system was the size of an old refrigerator, about six feet high.

Numbers were mapped using 30-bit words . The memory was mapped with 32,768 words of core memory .
