The AN / SPS-43 (also called " AN / SPS-37A ") was a ship-based 2D - airspace surveillance radar long range. It was created by the US Corporation Westinghouse designed and manufactured.

description

The SPS-43 was originally referred to as the SPS-37A because it was actually just a further development with an enlarged antenna (12.8 m) and revised components. The system was introduced in 1961 and later replaced by the AN / SPS-49 , so that it can no longer be found on any active US Navy ship today. The radar worked at 0.2 GHz and had a maximum range of 480 km. A total of 49 systems were delivered.
