ANSA is a commercial preprocessor for the finite element method , numerical fluid mechanics and multi-body simulation . The name is the acronym of "Automatic Net Generation for Structural Analysis", meaning "automatic networking for structural calculations". The developer is the Greek company "BETA CAE Systems SA" with headquarters in Epanomi , Thessaloniki. ANSA supports the model construction for calculations from CAD data of the bodies to be calculated up to executable input files for the equation solvers in the relevant discipline. For this purpose, ANSA has interfaces to CAD data formats , FE solvers , CFD , MKS and casting process simulation software. Processes can be automated using its own control software and Python interface.

description

  • The software is available for common operating systems in 32-bit and 64-bit architecture with multi-core CPU capability.
  • Geometry healing functions for the purpose of meshing.
  • Organization of technical data in a central data management system.
  • Networking of rod, shell and volume models as well as network editing functions.
  • Support of welded or bolted connections, composite materials and boundary layer models.

Modules

ANSA consists of seven work areas (modules):

TOPO
Preparation of geometry data
MESH
Networking of areas
VOLUME MESH
Networking of volumes
DECKS
Completion of model data specifically for the main processors
MORPH
Distortion of the geometry for model variants
HEXA BLOCK
Pure hexahedral meshing
KINETICS
Model preparation for multi-body simulation
