AOLserver
AOLserver is a free web server that is further developed and used by AOL . It is multithreading capable, can process dynamic websites programmed with the script language Tcl , and is primarily used for heavily frequented websites . AOLserver is published under the AOLserver Public License , which is similar to the Mozilla Public License (MPL), and alternatively under the GNU General Public License (GPL).
It was originally developed by the NaviSoft company under the name NaviServer , but renamed in 1995 when AOL bought NaviSoft. Since mid-2005 there has been a spin-off under the original name NaviServer . In this split-off version, the decision-making process about new features should be more open.
