AZS AGH Kraków
AZS AGH Kraków ( Klub Sportowy Akademickiego Związku Sportowego Akademii Górniczo-Hutniczej w Krakowie ) is a multi-discipline university sports club from the Polish city of Kraków . The club achieved particular success in badminton and volleyball .
history
The club was founded in 1952 with the sections basketball, volleyball, football and boxing, soon followed by rowing, chess, gymnastics and shooting. The first successes were achieved in rowing, where one became Polish runner-up. Later on, special successes were achieved in badminton and volleyball . The association celebrated its 60th anniversary on May 12th and 13th, 2012.
