A Rocha Vella is a district of the Parroquia Conxo in the province of A Coruña of the Autonomous Community of Galicia . The administrative municipality ( Municipio ) is Santiago de Compostela .
In the village, the remains of the Rocha forte castle (Castelo da Rocha Forte) have been excavated since 2000, which was destroyed in 1467 during the Irmandine revolt . It previously served as a place of refuge for the Archbishops of Compostela.
