The Aari are an ethnic group in Ethiopia . They live in the area of ​​the Omo River in the southwestern foothills of the mountain ranges and the adjacent valleys.

The Aari speak the Aari language , which is one of the omotic languages . Most of the Aari are Christians . The New Testament was first published on Aari in 1997.

The Aari mainly grow maize and millet , as well as other cereals and vegetables. The good soil and a lot of rain usually ensure good harvests, even if there is a drought in the surrounding areas.
