Aaruul are Mongolian dairy products that are mainly eaten in summer. A variant from the Persian cuisine is Kashk .

preparation

The preparation is often practiced on the yurts of the nomads in the Mongolian summer and can take 1–2 weeks. The larger pieces are cut into strips approx. 1 cm long, which are then packaged.

Food and taste

Aaruul is also offered to guests as a small pastry. It has a sweetish to sour taste. Aaruul are particularly popular in summer during the Naadam Festival . Aaruul is characterized by its vitamin content and its long shelf life.
