Abū Shakūr Balkhī

Abū Shakūr Balkhī (born 915, † in the 10th century ) was a Persian poet and sage of the 10th century AD, about whose life and work very little is known. Its name is an indication that he might out of the city Balch came (Balkh) and was also born there, but this evidence does not exist. Balkhī is the author of the Āfarīn-nāmah poem.
