Abanyom is an ekoid language from the subfamily of bantoid languages within the Niger-Congo language family .

It is the people of the region Abanyom Language in Cross River State in Nigeria spoken, with a total of 12,500 speakers in 1986. As a member of the südbantoiden language group Abanyom Language is relatively with the Bantu languages used. It is a tonal language and has a typical Niger-Congo nominal class system.
