Abbo II.

Abbo II. (Also Albo II.) (* In the 7th century; † 707 ) was Bishop of Metz from 697 to 707 .

Life

Abbo succeeded Saint Chlodulf and was ordained bishop (around February 18) in 697 . He died in the year 707 after he had headed the diocese of Metz for ten years. The martyrology of the Metz Cathedral puts his death on April 15th.
