Abdulbaset Sieda

Abdulbaset Sieda ( Arabic عبد الباسط سيدا, DMG ʿAbd al-Bāsiṭ Sīdā ; * June 22, 1956 in Amude , al-Hasakah Governorate ) is a Kurdish-Syrian scientist and was President of the Syrian National Council from June to November 2012 . The Sunni Muslim succeeded Burhan Ghalioun in this office on June 10, 2012 .

Sieda received her PhD from Damascus University . He published a large number of books on the Kurds in Syria . His scientific work specializes in ancient civilizations.
