Abdellah Jaballah

Abdellah Jaballah ( Arabic عبد الله جاب الله, DMG ʿAbd Allāh Ǧāb Allāh ; * May 2, 1956 in Skikda ) is an Islamist politician in Algeria and chairman of the Movement for National Reform ( Islah ) - a party that has split off from the Party of Rebirth ; he was also the founder of the Rebirth Party, but lost control of it.

Jaballah ran as a presidential candidate in 1999 and 2004. In 1999 he withdrew with all the other opposition candidates a few hours before the election. In the 2004 presidential election, he came third with 5% of the vote.
