Abductor / adductor machine
The abductor / adductor machine is a combined training device for strengthening the legs. The thigh muscles are trained by loading the adductors or abductors , including the gluteal muscles . While seated, the training weights are pressed with the legs inwards for the adductors or outwards for the abductors. The abductor / adductor machine can be used in fitness studios , but also at home.

The patent for an abductor / adductor machine was issued on December 21, 1988 by the Office for Invention and Patents of the GDR for Ekkehard Schulze under the name exercise device for strengthening the muscles of the thighs .
