Abdul Ghafoor Assar ( Dari عبدالغفور عصار; * in Kabul ) is a former Afghan football goalkeeper .
His greatest success was his participation with the Afghan national soccer team at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London . There the goalkeeper, who played in the school team of the Esteqlal High School and at Mahmoudiyeh FC , came to a mission in which the team lost 6-0 in the qualifying round to the team from Luxembourg and was eliminated from the tournament.
His brother Abdul Ghani Assar was also active in the national team.
