Evening game management

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An evening performance management ensures that a theater performance runs correctly . As a rule, it is assigned to an assistant director or, in the case of ballet, to a ballet master .

On the basis of the director's book and the arrangements made with the director or choreographer , the evening performance management looks after and supervises the performing artists in particular and is responsible for maintaining the scenic quality of the performance. She works closely with the stage manager , who monitors the technical aspects of a theater performance with regard to exact timing.

Anyone who directs the evening performance must ensure that the actors adhere to the scenic processes developed in the rehearsal process. He has to instruct possible jumpers in the production and even stands on stage in emergencies for sick actors. As a rule, the evening director is the assistant director who supervised the rehearsal phase of the play.

For musicals in en-suite game operations with longer series, there are full-time evening game managers.
