Adventure in Malta is a British television series. Originally produced as a feature film based on a book by Mary Catchcart Borer under the title Treasure in Malta by William Freeman and Ralph May in Malta in 1962 , it was first shown in Great Britain in 1963 by the BBC . In Germany, from October 2, 1966, it was broadcast weekly on Sunday evenings by ZDF in six parts.

The siblings Sukie and Tom fly to Malta on vacation to meet their father Dr. Trevor, who wants to excavate the "Shrine of the Calypso", to visit. However, a gang of criminals found Dr. Trevor kidnapped. In the course of the film the children are also kidnapped; all of them can eventually escape during a festival. A turbulent hunt for a gold statue breaks out.
