Adventure in Shoetown (Original title: The Shoe People ) is a British animated series that was produced from 1987 to 1988.

action

The action takes place in Shoe Town, a city that, as the name suggests, is inhabited by all kinds of shoes. Every night when the shoemaker locks the shoemaker's storage room where the shoes are at home, the residents wake up and experience amusing and educational adventures in their city.

The series was created by James Driscoll. The idea came to him when he noticed that shoes say a lot about the personality of their owner. Now Driscoll wondered what stories shoes would tell if they could talk.

Characters

PC Boot is the city's police officer. He loves to explain things, but he really bores others with that. He lisps slightly.

Charlie is a clown. He loves to make other people laugh and is always up for jokes. Charlie often has great ideas with which to help his friends.

Trampy is an old shoe with a hole in it. He loves to rest and enjoy his garden. Trampy lives in an old house and is in love with Margot, a ballet shoe.

Sergeant Major is an older shoe who thinks he's still in the Army. He values discipline and order and often screams very loudly. Sergeant Major is Trampy's neighbor and often argues with him. He also doesn't seem to think much of Charlie the clown, but still comes to his circus performances. He doesn't like being called "Sarge".

Wellington is a shoe with a passion for water. He even has holes in his house, which, to his delight, are flooded when it rains. Wellington doesn't like being called "Welly".
