Aberdare Railway

The Aberdare Railway was a British railway company in County Glamorgan .

The company received on July 31, 1845 the right to build a 12.07 km long railway line from Aberdare Junction (later Abercyron ) to Aberdare . The line and the branch lines from Cwmbach Junction to some coal mines and to the Aberaman ironworks took place on August 6, 1846. From January 1, 1849, the Taff Vale Railway (TVR) leased the railway for 999 years. On August 26, 1889, TVR was granted the right to take over the company, but this was not completed until June 30, 1902.
