The Aberdare Range is a mountain range in Kenya . It is located north of Nairobi , about 60 kilometers southwest of the Mount Kenya massif . It forms part of the eastern edge of the East African Rift . The highest point is the Ol Donyo Lesatima in the north, 3995 meters high (or 4001 m, depending on the source). The Kinangop in the south is 3906 meters high.
The area of the mountain is in the Aberdare National Park .
