Abi-ēšuḫ
Abi-ēšuḫ ruled from 1711 to 1684 BC. As king over Babylon . He was the son of King Šamšu-iluna , whom he followed on the throne for 28 years. An essential source for his government are the Babylonian formulas for the year names , but there are also building inscriptions .
Abi-ēšuḫ is best known for his aggressive military policy, which was directed against immigrating Kassites . He also took military action against the Meerland dynasty , especially Ili-ma-ilu . At the beginning of his reign, Babylon was attacked by the Elamites .
