Bend

Confluence with and without bend

A design element in the construction of a junction is called a bend . The axis of intersecting streets should intersect at an angle between 80 and 120 gon in order to ensure the best possible visibility and to make it clear to the traffic on the subordinate street that waiting is mandatory. If the angle is less than 80 or more than 120 gon, the junction branch must be bent so that it intersects the axis of the intersecting road approximately at a right angle . If, for example, no bend can be made for urban planning reasons, there is also the possibility of creating an offset crossing.
