Wear Reserve

The wear margin referred to according to DIN 31051 the storage of the possible fulfillment function under specified conditions that is inherent in a viewing unit due to manufacturing, repair or improvement. After the stock of wear and tear has been used up, the property or machine loses the ability to provide guaranteed or specified properties or services and must be repaired.

In the case of real estate , the stock of wear and tear is determined by the quality of the building materials and the quality of the construction elements. The choice of material , material combination, material quality, material compatibility and material processing thus have a high influence on the wear reserve and the degree of wear .
