Abraham K. Thampy

Abraham Kurian Thampy (* in the 20th century ) is an Indian lawyer , member of the Mar Thoma Church and was Vice President of the Christian Peace Conference (CFK).

Thampy grew up in Madras . He completed a law degree and has worked as a lawyer ever since. Through his active membership in the Mar Thoma Church, he became aware of the Christian Peace Conference and has participated in its All-Christian Peace Assemblies since 1961 . From 1971 until the end of the International CFK in 1990 he was one of its vice-presidents. In 1978 he became one of their four honorary presidents and was perceived as the voice of India's Christian minority.

When the first CFK President Josef Hromádka died in 1969, Thampy was one of the speakers at the funeral service.

On June 24, 1978, the Protestant theological faculty of Charles University in Prague awarded him the title of honorary doctor .
