Abrasion (medicine)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A rub is a nourishing form of massage to stimulate the circulation and promote blood circulation . A part of the patient's body is covered with a cold, damp cloth (in naturopathy also with a warm and damp cloth) and rubbed with the hand until the skin feels warm.

In patients with a stable circulation, rubbing the whole body is used for personal hygiene and hardening.
