Abron is one of the most common languages ​​in Ghana and is also spoken by some speakers in Ivory Coast .

With around 1,050,000 speakers in Ghana (as of 2003), it is one of the more important languages ​​in Ghana. Regionally, Abron is mainly spoken in central Ghana, where it has its regional focus northwest of the Ashanti region in the Brong-Ahafo region . Alternative names are Brong (Ghana), Bron, Doma, and Gyaman.

With 131,700 speakers, it is a comparatively insignificant language in Ivory Coast. Here it is mainly found in the east, near the border with Ghana in the Tanda and Bondoukou departments .
