Cutting knife

A chopping knife is a cutting device that cuts through the running paper webs in a paper machine .

The stop knife is mounted above or below the paper web across the entire width of the machine. For actuation, the impulse for the cutting process can be triggered mechanically or pneumatically. The knife then extends suddenly and cuts the paper web across its entire width.
